Melanie J. Norton is the founder and CEO of Norton Philanthropic Counsel (NPC), a full-service fundraising and strategic planning consulting firm in Indianapolis specializing in strategic planning, campaign, and development consulting services. Melanie was previously the Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement at DePauw University, where she led the University to $320 million of a successful $383 million comprehensive campaign that surpassed its original goal 2 ½ years before the campaign's end.

Melanie is a Certified Fundraising Executive and a proud member of the Association of Philanthropic Counsel and the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners. She was the NACGP Board chair in 2016 when the organization went through its hallmark rebrand. She has served in several board leadership and volunteer roles during her career and regularly speaks throughout the nation on a variety of issues related to fundraising and planning.
